One of the best ways to help a plant grow is to prune it.
By pruning away the excess stems, branches, and leaves— you help it grow.
Let us consider the same thing with our photography. What excess images can we prune from our portfolio? What kind of excess can we prune away from our frame while we’re shooting?
Can we prune down the number of photos we share online? Can we prune down our envy of other photographers? Can we prune down our sources of inspiration — to be inspired by a few photographers, rather than sampling from a buffet of many?
You’re only as good as your worst photo. So only share your best.
Always,
Eric
